Vienna resident Christian Camacho, 48, the driver of the Cybertruck, and 37-year-old Carlos Montero, of Sterling, were identified by detectives as the pair involved in the viral video that was shared by Elon Musk and viewed by millions.

In the video, the two vehicles can be seen lining up at a traffic light on Leesburg Pike in Tysons Corner before the two drivers rev their engines and take off down the roadway.

The Cybertruck gets off the line quicker, and ultimately beats the million-dollar sports car to the next light as onlookers "oohed" and "ahhed" while taking video of the exchange.

On Friday, Camacho turned himself in at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, where he was charged with racing and stopping on the highway. Montero was arrested later that day and charged with racing, stopping on the highway, and two counts of improper lane change.

Both were later released from the detention center on an unsecured bond, while police continue to search or a "flagger" who was captured in the video.

Video of the "race" can be viewed here.
